Halton Event Rentals - Terms & Conditions
π Communication Policy:
- Communication Consent:
By placing an order, the customer agrees to receive communications related to their rental order via email and/or text message using the contact details provided. Customers can opt out of communication by emailing info@haltoneventrentals.com to withdraw consent.
π Requirements:
- Credit Card & Govt Issued ID: Mandatory for all rentals.
π³ Payment Policy:
- Full Payment Required: To confirm your reservation.
- Automatic Charges: The customer authorizes Halton Event Rentals to charge the credit card on file for damages or additional charges arising from modified reservations.
- Payment Methods: Accepted forms include e-transfer, cash, credit card, or cheque payable to βHalton Event Rentals.β
- Late Payments: Orders may be canceled without refund if payment is not received by the due date.
π Customer Self-Pickup & Drop-Off:
- Responsibility: Customers handle loading, unloading, and securing rental equipment.
- Condition of Goods: Items are rented "as is." Verify and accept their condition during pickup or delivery. Acceptance confirms the items are in good working order unless noted in the rental agreement.
- Pickup/Return Timing: Mon-Fri: 8 AM-8 PM, Sat-Sun: 10 AM-6 PM, or as stated in your order.
- Process: Detailed self-pickup/drop-off instructions are provided upon reservation.
πͺ Equipment Damage / Return Policy:
- Damages & Missing Items: Customers will be charged the full retail value for damaged or missing items. Report any issues immediately.
- Chafing Dishes: Must be returned clean. A $5 cleaning fee applies if not properly cleaned. Avoid using steel wool for cleaning.
π Delivery & Pickup Service:
- Delivery Schedule: Deliveries occur up to 24 hours before the reservation start time, and pickups occur up to 24 hours after the reservation ends.
- Rental Period: Defined by the selected start and end dates/times.
- Delivery Conditions: Unsafe conditions or severe weather may prevent delivery.
- Pickup Readiness: Items must be stacked and stored at the original drop-off location unless setup service was included.
π Cancellations & Adjustments:
- Refund Policy:
- 2 Weeks Prior: Full refund.
- 1 Week Prior: 50% refund.
- Less Than 1 Week: No refund.
- No Refunds for Unused Items: No refunds or discounts are issued for items that are not used, as the rental charge applies to the rental period, not usage.
- Credit Option: Credits may be issued case-by-case for cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, valid for one year from the original reservation date.
- Order Adjustments: Changes can be made up to 24 hours before delivery but cannot reduce the total price below the initial payment.
β οΈ Liability:
- Responsibility: The customer is liable for property damage or personal injury resulting from the use of rented items.
- Proper Use: Rented items are not for standing/leaning. Use on level grounds only. Chairs support up to 220 lbs; tables up to 600 lbs.
- Pop-Up Tents: Customers must monitor weather and water buildup on tents during rain. Notify Halton Event Rentals immediately to avoid damage or injury.
π§ Loss & Damage:
- Responsibility: Customers are responsible for all equipment from receipt to return.
- Replacement Costs: Full retail value will be charged for damaged, lost, or stolen items.
β° Late Returns:
- On-Time Return: Rentals must be returned on the agreed date/time to avoid extra charges:
- 1st Hour: No charge.
- 1-4 Hours Late: 20% of a rental day.
- Over 4 Hours Late: Full additional rental day charge.
π οΈ Additional Terms:
- Event Setup & Takedown: If setup service is added, customers must ensure the site is ready before delivery to avoid delays.
- Weather Impact: For outdoor events, weather-related delays or cancellations may incur additional fees unless otherwise arranged in advance.
